When everything started locking down I knew I wanted to get out of Sydney immediately. We went up to my parents’ place on the mid north coast to get some fresh air.

It has been really nice to slow things down this week and regain an appreciation for the little things we so often take for granted.  The last time I was home the whole area was threatened by drought and bushfires. Now the landscape is flourishing from all the rain we’ve had, which has been so wonderful to see. It was dad’s birthday last week and any celebration in light of recent events is bound to feel strange, but I feel fortunate to have spent this time in a beautiful place, surrounded by those I love most.
