Born to photographer parents, Juli Balla emigrated to Australia from Budapest in 1980. With a career spanning three decades, her craftsmanship and professionalism as a photographer has seen her build an exceptional rapport with brands and publications across the globe.

Juli's broad cultural, artistic and historical references are evident in her work. She masterfully weaves narrative and crafts intrigue around her subjects. She communicates the captured moment with a distinctive visual poetry: a fine balance of casting, styling, drama, composition, an elegant approach to colour and a fine hand in retouching.

Above all, Juli’s approach to her medium is one of precision - an eye on every single detail that contributes to the construction of the whole. Nothing escapes her rigour, both in her personal work and when answering within the strictures of an advertising brief.
