Joel Pratley has spent the last three years getting to know Waterloo - a rich community with generations of history on the cusp of irreversible change.

In late September 30,000, Greetings from Waterloo postcard portraits made their way to doorsteps and letterboxes from Alexandria to Newtown, stretching up to Surry Hills. These postcards link to a live website where the full project of stories, messages and photographs form a portrait of a neighbourhood at a crossroads.

Supported by the City of Sydney, Greetings from Waterloo is now live as a free publicly accessible online exhibition:
